Juniper Winters, was born in District 11. Both of her parents cared so much for her that they decided to send her to the Capitol to be put in an adoption center. Juniper Winters was given her exotic name by her wealthy parents, who also got her involved with modeling. Juniper had such a beautiful face and body that when she began modeling everyone in the Capitol grew an interest towards her. The main thing intriguing about her was that she never dressed or looked like anyone in the Capitol, but men were still attracted to her. Juniper became a sex symbol before she was even 18, which also made her a household name. One night as she was walking home, an older man in raggedy clothes jumped out of an alley and grabbed her. He shows her half naked magazine pictures of herself, calling her all sorts of names. He does things to her that she never tells her parents or anyone because she is afraid of tainting her fame with gossip. This eats her up inside and she decide that she needs to get away from this place, volunteering herself as a Career in the hunger games. Her parents are shocked and hurt, but she doesn’t care. She decides that she needs to prove to the world that she is more then just a girl with a pretty face and a nice body. When she gets into the games she isn’t as strong as everyone else, but she makes allies with almost every tribute. Because of her good looks and charm, everyone trusts and believes her. When she is in the arena she does become close with a boy from District 7 and in the dark of night when she is laying with him, she admits that she has been raped by multiple men. The next morning there is only 3 tributes left and they are forced to battle it out at the cornucopia. The boy from District 7 throws his axe at the other boy who is about to attack Juniper with a trident. Little does she know, the boy from District 7 fancies her as more then a friend and tells her to kill him so that she can go home. Juniper realizes that even if she were to win the hunger games, people would still see her as a weak slut in the magazines. So she pulls out one of her knives and stabs it into her chest. As she falls to the ground the boy from District 7 catches her. “Make them pay,” she whispers, as blood starts to seep out of her mouth. Weeks after Junipers body is taken away, The Capitol does an autopsy to determine her true death in the games and they find seamen from multiple different men. The boy from District 7 knows about her secret and is surprised that they didn’t air it on live television, but he tells no one. The boy then dedicates his life to being a part of the rebellion against the Capitol. When war is over and a government is made, filled with brand new laws, he creates the Juniper Law, which made it illegal to rape or have sex with minors.
